Very Rare
If demon possession is very rare these days, how do you explain all the accounts of demonic possession in the NT?
Like when Jesus drove a demon for epilepsy, and high fever, etc. .. A dominant view today's demonic possession, that it is very rare .... but the New Testament gives many instances in which Jesus casts out demons for symptoms that are still widespread Today (epilepsy, physical illness, etc.) For those of you who believe that demonic possession is possible today, but very rare, how do you explain the prevalence of it in the New Testament? Thank you!
It is not as rare as one might think. 1 / 3 of the U.S. population is incarcerated. Many others are in psychiatric facilities. This is thje impact on the lives of demons peoples. I'm not all mental illnesses are caused by demons, but I think we confuse the two several times and people are treated with drugs that make them worse because the problem is spiritual and not mental or emotional and mimic each other two in many respects.
