Rising Sun

Should a symbol of the rising sun replace the symbol of the cross?

If we want to be true to what Jesus was preaching, wouldn't it be wise to replace the symbol of the cross with the symbol of the rising sun?

Become "Children of the light" came from Jesus (Jn 12:36), but "Christ died for our sins" came from Paul/Saul, who was the one who terrorized the real Christians who had accepted the gospel of light that Jesus actually preached.

So if we are to return to that original gospel, wouldn't it be best to exchange these symbols to something more appropriate?

A more detailed explanation is on my biography.

It is a good candidate to replace the cross. The cross focuses on the suffering and death, a symbol of empathy with Jesus' physical terror - the cross may be a symbol of heartfelt pity for His extreme suffering. But it was the resurrection the signaled the new spiritual era and relationship with the Divine, which can be represented by light, or the rising sun that warms and nourishes the planet. Without getting into the details of why I do it, every Saturday morning I wake, go out, and greet the rising sun, no matter the weather or cloud conditions or my health. It isn't sun worship, it is like a prayer, a time when I am alone with God. The feeling is difficult to describe but I do look forward to this "communion" every week, which involves the rising sun as a symbol of grace and resurrection.
