Best Car Rental Company to use from Atlanta's airport?
I am flying into Atlanta for the weekend, and am checking into car rental prices. I have been going back and forth between Avis, Alamo, and Enterprise. I did not see anymore companies to choose from...
I would like to set up a reservation, and then when I get there pay a bit more to upgrade to a convertible or nice car. Which company would have the best options for upgrading? and are there any other companies to choose from than the ones listed above? Any specials you might recommend?
I checked the website for the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport to get informations to the car rental companies there and nearby. It stated:
There are several companies to choose from when renting a car at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National and Thrifty have registration counters located on the first floor in the Atrium. Once you have made reservations at the ticket counter, go outside to the Ground Transportation Center and catch the shuttle bus to the car pickup area. You will find this shuttle on the Yellow Bus Isle located at the west curb between the North and South Terminals in the Ground Transportation Center.
Airport Rent-A-Car, Payless Car Rental and EZ Rent a Car are located off-site and are only a few miles from the Airport. For more information, contact the rental car agency directly.

As far as your upgrade, it's very hard to guarantee an upgrade because it will depend on the availability at the time of pick up. You can check upgrading prices when you reserve online or just book the minimum size that you need and request an upgrade at the counter... ask FIRST if there are any "free upgrades" available... you never know!!
Free upgrades are often available if the company doesn't have the size car that you've booked available (especially economy and compact cars)... otherwise you can check the prices for an upgrade at the time of pick up.
