wow ret and prot talent?
i got a ret pladin and hes dps is 1400-1700 now i find that crap look my pladin has 1 epic shoulders and epic weapon and heroic gear no when i do instance i some times come in 1st usely 2rd as dps now i dont no if its me or my talent trees or what spells i use but my dps isint as good i got a friend that has dk hes dps with couple of epic is 2100-2300 now i was wondering is my dps gona be a lot i do about 2k dps ich hit a crit would do 4k how do i get better

i was thincking of going to eb a tank cuz i thinck im a realy good tanker but 1 one problme is it hard to keep aggro in raids last thing
my brtohers a tank and he has problme with 27k hp and fully epic how do u get to 35k hp is it with stamina boost rubes or what plz what should i do stick to ret or got prot
im sick of people saying your dps is crat a lot of people agree in wow when i ask them
1400-1700 isn't too bad for just starting to pick up epic gear. Granted you could probably do more but it's not bad for dungeon damage. You'll notice significant increases to your damage as you get more gear and as you play with more people. For example ret paladins in our guild do 12k+ DPS on trash and easily 8k+ on bosses when in a 25 man raid.
I wouldn't recommend prot for you. It's a good spec but it's more difficult to play than ret and tanking in general requires a bit more attention to detail and knowledge of the fights. A bad-mediocre DPS is forgivable but for a tank that usually means a wipe.
Yes tanks get lots of HP through talents, gems, and gear. I've seen bears and DKs with over 54k HP.
